Can anyone let us know the maximum message size which mq client can transmit across the network to a MQ server (this is w.r.t mq being used for file transfers from a place where mq client (alone!!) is installed to another place where mq server is installed)
Note:
1. while giving this size, kindly also mention the network connectivity parameters
2. IBM advertises that it is 100 mb. We need to know the actual/practical limits that can be implemented and not the sales gimmicks
There can be some difficulties getting a client connection to allow more than 4MB to pass through. Although I think most of those have been worked out in later fixpacks.
What's reasonable and practical depends entirely on the connection between the client and the QM. And the capabilities of the client machine. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general.
If you make the the connection using the MQSERVER variable, the limit is 4MB. All other cases it is 100MB. _________________ Peter Potkay
