Hi,

last week we installed CSD09 on our Solaris server to see if that resolved a problem where we were getting MQJMS2007 (NO_MORE_HANDLES_AVAILABLE). CSD09 solved this problem, but gives this new one:
javax.jms.JMSException: MQJMS2009: MQQueueManager.commit() failed
****
Haven't been able to catch the linked exception and I have also tried turning on a mq trace in order to catch the underlying problem, but as soon as I turn on tracing the problem disappears and re-appears after a while when tracing has been turned off.

Has anyone had this problem using JMS and CSD09 on a Solaris 8 box? If someone have had this, have you been able to solve it?

Any input is appreciated.
Regards
Andreas

Hi,

For your original problem, what did you have set for the kernal parameters of rlim_fd_cur and rlim_fd_max ?

At my current client, I have it set to:
Code:
set rlim_fd_cur=8192
set rlim_fd_max=8192

The box is Solaris 8 with WMQ v.5.3 CSD08 and has 8 queue managers running with almost 2 thousand client connections (99% from WebLogic domains) and I've not seen the NO_MORE_HANDLES_AVAILABLE error.

Regards,
Roger Lacroix

We are actually running CSD06 on the box currently and when I run a trace and get the problem (MQJMS2007), it backs out the current message and the server connection channel dies and the client retries it connection.
The JMS program is issuing a MQPUT1 call and it seems in the JMS class, to not be closing it's handle to MQ and this is why we get the NO_MORE_HANDLES_AVAILABLE.

We have set the MAXHANDS qmgr attribute to 2000.

My day today will be spent trying to reproduce the error we are having with CSD09.

Regards
Andreas

Have just been in contact with IBM regarding our original problem and they gave me this information http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1IY67021

The problem with MQJMS2009 can probably be caused by this scenario that they told me about http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1IY67239. I have confirmed that this is similar to the message sizes we sent around the time of the problem.

So currently I'm waiting for an efix for CSD09 and will then test and will update this thread after testing.

/A
