I have two separate broker environments in two geographical locations. Each have its own confg mgr and broker. I used to ship the whole work space from one location to the other so that anything developed in one location can be used by the other. I am just wondering if I can just the the bar files to the other location and deploy it to the broker. Since there will not be anymore development work required on the second location, shipping the whole workspace seems over kill.

If both the environments are at same level with product installation and CSD's.

That's the reason IBM came up with Bar files. To export to any domain and if required completely out of to other company as well.

And don't forget that you can use the deployment descriptor (META-INF/broker.xml) if you need to tailor any of the attributes (queue manager names etc.) that are specific to the new domain, without having to recompile.
