Hi guys,

i have a simple flow where i read XML msgs from a Q and write them out as MRM fixed lengths fields ... e.g. if the MRM field is 13 char long and the incoming XML field is 3 char long i want the MRM to pad the outgoing field with spaces ...

I added a CWF to my message and set the Padding Character to SPACE. but this does NOT help me much ... is there another setting that i'm supposed to do?

thanx, ryzor.

did you use a cobol copybook structure to create the MRM?

I would check the following:
take any element in your message definition file, go to properties TAB.
Physical Properties>CWF1>Local element> Physical type = Fixed length string, should check Length Count radio button and it should be an integer value.

How you are transforming XML to MRM?
