Hi there...
I have a big problem regarding CCSID on WBI Message Broker.
mqsiservice brokername gives me a CCSID = 1208.
But, for some special characters, I must have the Broker CCSID equal to 819.
Do u know how to change or any option which gives me the possibility to modify it ?
Thx, |

In fact, when we were under MQSI V2.1 mqsiservice brokername was CCSID = 819.
Every message which processed by WBI 5 must be under 819. So I'm not sure developper's accept to modify every flow to work under 819 other than 1208.
So that I why i wonder if there is a command line or an option to modify CCSID under broker.
Thx, |

Hi, Just discussed this with a colleague.
We think this is a bug which is fixed in v5 CSD05 where the CCSID string name value returned for latin-1 changed to something the WMQI code was not expecting and so it defaults to UTF-8.
I hope you understand that without a proper diagnosis I can't be 100% sure that this is the problem and that CSD05 will fix it. You will need to discuss with your IBM support representative.
Anyway, there are a couple of workarounds you can try:
On Unix platforms you can set MQSI_CONSOLE_CCSID=819
or append .IBM-819 to LANG or LC_ALL.
On Windows I think you can just do the latter.
Could you say what platform you are on?
PLEASE NOTE, If you move to CSD05 you should revert any changes you make for this workaround. |
