Hi,
- we have a lot of client connections (about 400) going to a server mqseries on HP box - they may be running at the same time
- we need to trigger an application on the client node: well we know how to do but the pb/question is : when the trigger monitor has been started on the client node normaly the client channel MQI keeps running ? right?
- so the pb is how to start (and down) the client trigger monitor only when needed on the client node? to save ressources on the server machine
has anybody had such pb or has idea about it?
thanks

From my experience 4 years back with client triggering , what you're asking cannot be done.
As far as I know, the client trigger monitor is designed to run continuously. _________________ Emile M Kearns
- but could you confirm me that once the client trigger monitor has started on the client machine the channel client keeps up and running - and so making use of an SVRCONN instance (which runs continuously) on the server ?
thanks again Emile,
