Ok
There is a way to make this work
on the remote end put
def qr(GEORGE) rqmname(TESTQM)
On the local end
on your remote queue
alter qr(REMOTE_TODC06) rqmname(GEORGE)
add a remote queue
def qr(GEORGE) rqmname(GEORGE) xmitq(TTESTQM)
And tell them they need to put GEORGE as reply to qmgr into their apps

I'm very sorry to awake this old post.... but need an explanation to this. It's absolutely weird, but works.
fjb_saper, can you please elaborate how this trick works? |

It's a queue manager alias, and it works because of how and when MQ resolves the object names for queues and queue managers. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Messages put on an XMITQ go to whatever queue manager the channel will send them to.
So if you configure a set of qremotes that instruct the qmgr to put the messages onto a specific xmitq, it doesn't matter what the RQMNAME and RQNAME are on the sending side.
You then need an object on the receiving side to adjust the RQMNAME and RQNAME to ensure proper routing. |
