I am new to using adapters with WBIMB. I need to use the email adapter to poll for messages on an email server.

I need to send AND receive email messages with attachments.

I must be able to handle attachments and pass them to say IBM content manager. The problem is that users can send any kind of document (for example Excel, PDF and Word Documents). I am not interested in the attachment's content. I just need to strip them off and put these attachments somewhere else. So I will never manipulate the messages or be interested in their content.

What kind of data handler do I use(the standard out of the box datahandlers will not process an Excel document). I am currently considering using the adapter for complex data. I also do not know what will be in these attachments. So how do I build business objects for the attachments.

Guys I really need some help/guidance here.
