Dear all,

We want to setup a connection with Websphere MQ between a European server (MQ CCSID 5348) and one in China (MQ CCSID 5348).
Once installed and configured we get a lot of error messages, like this one:

AMQ6118: An internal WebSphere MQ error has occurred (20006047)

EXPLANATION:
An error has been detected, and the MQ error recording routine has been called.
ACTION:
Use the standard facilities supplied with your system to record the problem
identifier, and to save the generated output files. Contact your IBM support
center. Do not discard these files until the problem has been resolved.

The real error is: Minor Errorcode :- xecX_E_CONV_NOT_SUP

What is your localization of operating system? You don't need to switch your qmgr' CCSID to chinese for right messaging conversion. You have to set the codepage for individual messages.

I'd already seen similar with a hungarian localized windows server (we use only English or Latin1 CCSID for qmgrs). The solution was a system environment variable MQS_FORCE_NTLANGID: "It's because when MQ retrieve language from regional settings, windows api return language of last logged on user. IBM provide a solution to force the language of log files : Create an environment variable MQS_FORCE_NTLANGID and set it to value 1033 (1033 is for English)."
