Hello guys,
We are installing MQ client and MQ server on different machines.
Could someone please help me on answering the following MQ questions:
1. If the MQ Server goes down at any given time, and we still have data to process at the Client side, is the data?
2. If answer to question 1 is yes, is there be a mechanism, or could we put one in place to prevent this from happening?
3. Any other drawback that might exist in having the MQ Server and MQ Client on different machines?
Thank you in advance, |

The client makes a synchronous connection to the server. If this connection is down, then you'll get an error on your MQPUT and you'll have to do something to save your data if you want to send it later. |

With multithreading, it is more necessary for each thread containing MQSeries code to handle for itself and co-ordinate a global level when it identifies MQSeries Server is down.
We had a lot of tough time in handling these. |
