Hi,

For our QM 5.3 in AIX is continually getting the messages nearly 3300 persistence/non persistence messages in the dead letter queue (SYSTEM.DEAD.LETTER.QUEUE) as shown below.

1) I am sure they are not Dead Letter Headers (DLH), really don’t know which application is putting the messages / how they get generated???

00000000: 4F4B 'OK '

2) The only one clue I have is PutApplType : '28'

What does 28 means????

3) PutApplName : ' '
is blank so how to find which application is putting the messages to Dead Queue.

From cmqc.h, 28 is MQAT_JAVA. It does appear that the java app is writing directly to the dlq, because the message doesn't have a MQDLH header.
