Venkat,
Right now only a moderator can delete posts. This makes sense because you might post a question, and ten other people respond to it. You (as the question author) shouldn't have the authority to delete the original post, deleting the 10 replies along with it. However, the job posting section presents an interesting problem, because in that forum, we WOULD like people to delete their own posts, as a job-opportunity or person looking for work aren't going to be available indefinitely. I have a feeling that the next version of this message board will have that functionality available, but for the time being, you'll just have to send me a private message telling me which post of yours you would like to delete...

...or edit your post and remove all the text inside, substituting it with ***contents deleted by author*** (or something like that)?
Just a thought for some sort of self-service...
have a great weekend,
Stefan

Also, for the job postings forum, it makes sense to just reply to your own post and say "This job is no longer available" or "I am no longer looking for work"
