Can anyone let me know what is the default CCSID that the broker uses when processing XML message?

I am trying to process the below message (containing French characters) , by assigning the value in tag <body> to OutputRoot.XML.A.

I am getting the following error "[22][1][1][Invalid document structure][XML]"
Please let me know the corrective action. I am putting the message in to the IN queue using the RFH2 util with CCSID 1208 and format as MQSTR.This opens without errors in IE.

I dont see any relationship of CCSID with XML processing.

One possible necessity for CCSID would be while handling data in a different platform from the source platform. Even in this case, if the data is already converted according to the target platform, you hardly use CCSID.
