Well, this is really interesting - IBM announced today that they are buying Ascential for $1.1. billion.

Ascential bought Mercator Inc about 18 months ago. Mercator is a very strong competitor to MQSI (aka WBIMB or whatever it is called).

I wonder how many internal IBM product developers for MQSI / WBIMB have their shorts in a knot today?

I wonder which product IBM will keep. Oh right, right, they'll keep both.
