Hello,
I have an MDB that is sending a message to a queue using JMS and a message flow that is listening on the queue to receive the message. With smaller messages, everything goes smoothly, but with larger messages (600k +) it seems like the message just sits on the queue for about 30 seconds to a minute before the message flow picks it up and processes it.
Also, if I put the message directly onto the queue using rfhutil, it is processed immediately.
Any ideas of what I can do to fix this?

Are you putting your message under syncpoint and forgetting to commit it or for J2EE apps, do you have the container set to commit every 30 seconds?

This is most likely an issue with the application code assuming there are no network or bandwidth issues. Not a problem with WMQ.

I assume you are running WAS. Could it be that your MDB then invokes another bean that does database operations and does not commit messages from the queue until it is done processing db operations. If I were I would turn on was tracing see what is happening
