simple question..
but I couldn't see which redbook had the info. I was wondering what is the length that a channel name can be when defining it, for example in a TST file.
The Maximum number of characters that can be used in a channel name is 20. You can find this information in the WMQ Systems Administration Guide.
Just so you know this is a result of TCP/IP limitations.
The maximum number of characters in the name of a Queue Object is 48. _________________ Yes, I am an agent of Satan but my duties are largely ceremonial.
