Hi
I deleted the runtime database using fmczutil.
However I am not able to recreate the runtime database using the same tool. this is the error:
FMC33206I Selected Runtime Database Commands Menu:
Selected Runtime database : FMCDB
c ... Create
p ... Change password
x ... Exit Selected Runtime Database Commands Menu
c
FMC33136I Generating database layout.
FMC33150E File could not be opened.
- FMC33920E Error occurred. See c:\program files\ibm\mqworkflow\cfgs\fmc\log\@f
mczrt.log for more information.
in the log file there is following info:
3/2/2005 6:44:50 PM FMC33136I Generating database layout.
3/2/2005 6:44:50 PM FMC33150E File could not be opened.
remark the double space between file anc could.
Anyone an idea ?

Dirk,
Looks like you are using fmczutil on Windows platform. Also, you do not mention the level of code you are using.
Did you try to exit out of fmczutil and then re-enter?
Do you have the configuration utility window also opened at the same time?
For some reason the file x:\mqwfinstdir\cfgs\fmc\fmcdblay.ini file cannot be opened. Maybe because it is already opened.
These are the things I would look at first.

Denise,
correct, I forgot to put some details
- platform : Windows 2000
- version : MQWorkflow 3.5.0 (with all latest patches !)
I did try to go out of fmczutil and reenter, however with no change in behaviour. Even rebooting, starting and stopping the service(s), db2 etc did not change behaviour.
Configuration utility was not running.
Indeed I agree that the main reason seemed to be that the fmcdblay could not be found, which is strange, as deleting the runtime db etc worked well. I never had any troubles with fmczutil (except for the poor documentation that is of course
The only thing I can think of is the meanwhile world famous "space" in the default "c:\program files" installation directory of Win32 platforms, which on a quite regular basis screw up installations/programs because suddenly these programs can't cope (anymore) with the spaces in filenames or directories, and guess what the fmcdblay.ini is in the directory c:\program files\cfgs\fmc . Yes I should learn to stop installing in this directory, yes I should learn to install in spaceless max 8 chars directories, mea culpa mea culpa ...
I was not able to recreate the runtime database with fmczutil. However I managed to recreate it with yet another incredibly badly documented, yet powerful tool : fmczrdb.
Testing and trying for several hours, revealed finally the following problem solving command :
c:\program files\ibm\MQWF53\bin\fmczrdb -o=i -l=c: -r=..\cfgs\fmc\fmcdblay.ini
(all on one line of course ! Prompt added for complete problem solving purposes, and c:\program files\ibm\MQWF53\bin\db2 must be on your path of course )
