Hi Friends,
Any one knows about parameters Default Queue Buffer size and Default Persistent Queue Buffer Size.
What I know is they can be set in the registry (Windows environment).
Registry key does not exist for the default values. They are set as DefaultQBufferSize and DefaultPQBufferSize
My queries are
1)What are their performance impacts while geting and puttineg the message into the queue
2) Which parameters decide their values?

Hi there,
DefaultQBufferSize specifies the amount of memory to store non-persistent messages. After this amount is exhausted, messages land on the disk.
This means that if you have some amount of non-persistent messages that are put on a queue and you don't expect them to sit in the queue for long (i.e. there is some application that gets them), it is possible to achieve better performance by not using disk storage.
The other parameter probably sth added not long ago... I've never used it.

Hi pgorak,
Where can i find the documentation for the same.
I will like to study the details of it.
It seems that the parameter is useful if available RAM is pretty higher, otherwise it may even degrade the performance by using memory space

it Gives better understanding of the 'system level operations' at the time of writing to the Queue.....
