Hi all,
I have two system. Both are Windows 2000.
In system A, Websphere MQ Integrator Broker V 2.1, CSD 8.
In system B, Websphere Message Broker 6.
Both broker are working fine.

Now I wanted to migrate the message flows of Broker 2.1 to B6. Please see the following steps I have taken to migrate-
1. export a very simple message flow of Broker 2.1(MQinput -->Compute--> MQOutput) in system A.
2.Save the export file to a new folder TST in system B.
3.Stop your Message Brokers Toolkit
4.invoke the mqsimigratemsgflows command

mqsimigratemsgflows -data -p Test_Migration -d D:\TST -rm

result:
Quote:
Migrating export file D:\TST\TEST.xml.
Migrating message flow TEST.
Migration completed with no errors.
Refer to report file D:\Program Files\IBM\MessageBrokersToolkit\6.0\eclipse\mqsi
migratemsgflows.report.txt for details of what was imported.
When opening the workbench, you need to refresh and rebuild the project.

5.in the report file, I found

================================================================================
Migrating export file D:\TST\TEST.xml.

--------------------------------------------------
Migrating message flow TEST.

================================================================================
Migration completed with no errors.

6.Start the Message Brokers Toolkit and switch to the Broker Application Development perspective.
7. refresh the workbench
8. I am failed to see the new message flow project in workbench

Anything I am missing? Please help me. Thanks in advance

Hi elvis_gn,
Thanks a lot for quick reply. It is now appearing and working fine.
I have found the project under the directory C:\Documents and Settings\mqsiuid\IBM\rationalsdp6.0\workspace\Test_Migration. Actually I thought the message flow and the message flow project will appear automatically in the workbench as per document. I am very new in Broker 6.0. I also have no experiance of working with Broker 5.0.

Is there any option in setting of the workbench so that project will appear automatically in the workbench? Actually during import I had to create the project again.

So u used the command or u did an import ??

The migrate command should work with the correct path, i dont think there is a way out from not specifying the directory....perhaps u could keep the workbench and flow directory common, and try running the command from the same directory.....

Also try not to use such lengthy directories as the limit is 256 characters...files will not get imported and u will not even realise it.

Regards.

Thanks a lot.
I got the point. All problem has been removed now. Actually I was wrong.
The workbench directory was different from the command directory. That's why the magrated file was being created in the location that is different from workbench directory.
