Hi

I am using a queue with open options of browse,inquire and input_shared.

When i do a queue.close() the queue is not released immediatley and tells me objects in use....if give a wait interval and then run the rest of the program then it works......

I want to know if there is any way i can close the queue immediately ???

Which OS are you running your application and which language?

I have coded several applications and have never seen this problem before.

1) Check if you are issuing the queue.close() in the correct place
2) Check if you are issuing the queue.close() on the correct queue

If you still see the problem, post the code...

Closing a queue does not commit any message puts or gets that have been made to that queue. You would need to commit any updates.
