We are currently consolidating our TRU64(version V5.1 2650 alpha) servers and have decided to run multiple QMGRs in a clustered TRU64 environment.
In the 'Quick Beginnings for TRU64 v5.1' this is the kernel parameters that should be set:
ipc:
sem-mni=4096
sem-msl=1000
sem-opm=100
sem-ume=1000
shm-mni=4104
shm-seg=1024
shm-max=2147483647
This is for a setup of on QMGR.

Are anyone running more QMGRs on the same server and what is you kernel setup?
We have the possibility to run 5 QMGRs on the same server if one server in the cluster crashes.
Any input to this topic would be greatly appreciated.

Yes we have an similiar setup on TRU64(version V5.1 2650 alpha). We have two cluster nodes running one QMGR in each node, but the possible to do an relocate/failover to the other node(2 QMGRS running at the same time).

These are our kernel paramters(note that we are running Oracle and DEC/EDI in these nodes and I think they have impact on the SHM-max parameter)

ipc:
sem-mni = 8192
sem-msl = 2600
sem-opm = 100
sem-ume = 1000
shm-max = 4278190080
shm-mni = 8192
shm-seg = 1024

We asked IBM if we should double some of the parameters to be able to run 2 QMGRS when an failover have occured. The answer was yes.
