Does anybody have any experience with this support pac (limits svrconn connections) - Specifically how it impacts performance. We will be recompiling it for HP UX - but i'm just a bit worried about performance hits.
Any info appreciated!
Thanks

G, I played around with it in the LAB, and it seems OK for the few connections I played with. I have to rioll it out to production, and we need to stress test it.
I have also submitted an official request to IBM that this functionality be inlcuded in the base product. There should be an attribute on a SVRCONN channel that allows you to limit the # of instances of that channel spawned.
IBm accepted the request. My IBm rep is pushing them as to when they will implement this. Maybe in an early CSD for MQ 6.0 I hope. _________________ Peter Potkay

I fully agree that it should be an attribute! I suppose I'll do a little testing myself... will let you know what we come up with.
thanks for the response |

I'll let you know as well when I test. Windows for me.
Send in this idea to IBM as well. If enough people b*tch, maybe we will get it that much sooner! _________________ Peter Potkay
