Congratulations....now you too can answer "it depends" when asked about what MQ can offer....oh and prepare to spend 90% of your time proving that it wasn't MQ!
I had a classic just this week....apparently MQ wasn't working....the programmer "fixed" MQ by backing out their program changes!
Seriously though many congratulations on your accomplishment. |

Grats @ saneben
@ Kevin, I had one like that this week too.
On one of my very busy MQManager Servers a new interface is being configured so we can enable netif_Backup.
Well the Networking Group kinda jumped the gun. They were only supposed to plug the cable into the Switch test the integrity of the cable then plug it into the server but after they plugged it into the server they enabled the interface from the Switch side so I had two interfaces broadcasting the same MAC on two different Subnets.
Nineteen minutes later I was getting paged about Sev 1 Problems saying the MQManager was down. <sighs> _________________ Yes, I am an agent of Satan but my duties are largely ceremonial. |

Hi All
I started preparing for the System Admin test 294, the objectives do not state about the OS platforms on which questions will be asked. Was wondering if someone could advice if I will be ok if I stick to one particular os. I am quite comfortable administering MQ on Linux...
thanks for any advice
