Hi,
I have a problem after importing messages sets into my workspace. I am unable to unfreeze them or edit the message set further. Please provide a solution for this.
Thank you |

are those message structures are too big?
How much memory do you have on system?
is this a fresh installation? |

I'm assuming this is a 2.1 question as message set freezing is only applicable to 2.1 & earlier.
Take a copy of the .mrp file (essential in case the next steps go wrong).
Edit the copy and look for:
<MRProject_freezeTimestamp value="2003-07-01T20.16.44Z"/>
Change the value attribute to be the empty string, save the file then re-import the copy.
This should work but I can't guarantee it, as I no longer have a 2.1 installation to verify. |

I hope you are checking-out the message flow first and then doing an UnFreeze operation. _________________ Kiran

Yes, please do as Kiran says before you try my suggestion. I was assuming that you had checked out the message set and it still would not unfreeze. (Moral: don't assume |

Hi,
Sorry for omitting the necessary details - yes - its a 2.1 problem on a 2000 machine that has 512 RAM.
And yes, I am checking out the msg set and then attempting to unfreeze it, but am getting - "IBM internal error..please contact......" msg!
I shall try out the changing freeze timestamp option.
Although I guess this way, Ill have to do it for every msgset that I wish to edit.
Could this be a CSD problem? I am on CSD 1. |

It could very well be a CSD problem.
You should look at the list of fixes in the most recent CSD for 2.1. It will contain all fixes in all earlier CSDs. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

WMQI 2.1 CSD1
You are so behind on CSD ..
Before you install latest or any CSD please make sure you read thru the readme.txt file and know what has been fixed. Be ready to see different behavior for some of your messageflows/esql code. As jeff said, read the documentation with CSD before installing it. _________________ Kiran
