Hi,
To begin with this is not an MQ issue.
In our system the microsoft application uses MQ to send in XML requests to the Mainframe(CICS) to get back data. Over time the mainframe data source has become the main data socurce of the enterprise. Now with multiple development projects going on there results in changes in the requesting XML. This results in changes in the Wrapper on the mainframe end which unraps the XML to get the information required. How can we save on this frequent changes to XML wrapper and still cope with the changes with the XML.
Regards
Vin

Use MQSI (WBIMB) to isolate the changes from the mainframe.

How are you handling XML on the mainframe? Are you using the IBM XML support in Cobol v3.3?

Even without WBIMB, you can put in place a two-stage wrapper process.

You can build another Microsoft application that converts from one XML format to another, and reroute your MQ traffic to put the messages there before it goes to the mainframe.

But if you need to support many many different XMLs, then you should look at WBIMB.

How is the performance for XML messages?
If you use WBIMB then you can think of coverting the input format to COBOL for the CICS application.
