If you are using WBIMB V 5 then you can make use of new Http nodes to call/create Webservice. You can also find some good Redbooks and SupportPacs related to Webservices in WMQI/WBIMB link thread (Sticky on the top of this page).

WBIA Webservice Adapter is not supported for use with WBIMB. HTTP Nodes and support pack IA81 shoould privde the functionality you need - just a bit more work.

Where does it say that the web service adaptor is not supported?

As far as I know, all WBI adaptors are supported by all 3 products WAS, ICS and WBIMB.

Perhaps synchronous request-reply to the broker is not supported as the adaptor communicates to MB via MQSeries.

Vendor website seemed to suggest this in terms of which broker engines were "supported".

However I appreciate that we should be able to consume webservices through this adapter! However we cannot expose our message flows with it.

Things may have moved on though....
