I am using MS67 to archieve/compress the logs that are no more needed for recovery. However, the logmanager script files does a rcrmqobj before recording the media image. The comment indicates that this was recommended on the listserve.
I always get following error when I run the logmanager scripts with option -c and -z.
Recreate Objects may have not completed successfully.
QM.TEST Check Return Code (136) in MQ Series
QM.TEST: System Administration manual.
QM.TEST: Attempting to record media image.
Also, the original script does not take into account Queue Manager with characters like ., ! etc. It does not convert queue manager name to directory name to look for correct place for active log files.
Is anyone using it and is it alright to have this error?

why would you try to recover if there is nothing wrong ?
We just run rcdmqimg before shutdown (every night). |

| You are correct. But, look at the Support Pack. The code is doing rcrmq before rcdmqimg. Read the note in the support pack explaining why it is doing that. The reason has to do w/ the fact that rcdimg may record image of broken objects. |

I don't use this pack. I use MS0L with java.
Anyway with a bindings connection there is no way to stop the traffic on the qmgr at the time you are running the recovery tool... Couldn't that lead to problems?
