1. Can you export items from a workflow 3.4 buildtime into WF 3.6 server?
2. Is buildtime 3.4 compatibly with
3. Currently our buildtime databases are on the development system. Should we move the database to another server before upgrading DB2? _________________ srini |

You can export FDL from 3.4 and import in to 3.6 with NO issues. Going the other way, you might run into some problems with newer features that are unsupported in V3.4 _________________ John McDonald

Hi,
w'll be upgrading from MQWF 3.4 to 3.6.
Do we need to upgrade web client as well? (we've made some customizations and would hate to do it again)
Currently webclient 3.4 is running on WAS4, but we're moving to WAS6 at the same time. Do both web client 3.4 and 3.6 run on WAS6?
Thanks |

Hi,
backlevel MQWF clients can always run with higher level servers. So there is no real technical need to upgrade your client box - except the fact that MQWF 3.4 will run out of maintenance next year.
On the other hand you might want to participate from all the beautiful new features that come with the 3.6 WebClient. (' ') Especially the native Java API that makes web applications much more robust.
If you decide to upgrade the MQWF client side I would recommend to upgrade the WebClient, too. Otherwise you'll run into trouble fiddeling around with ear, jar and profile replacements. If you followed the recommendations how to extend the Web Client this should not be a big deal. Save your extensions, reconfigure a 3.6 Web Client and add your extensions again. |
