Pardon my ignorance....but what is "pipeline length"?

It isn't any MQ phrase I have ever heard.

Is it something to do with message broker? I am totally unsure what it is.

PipeLineLength is a parameter in the Channels stanza of qm.ini, mentioned in the System Admin manual. If it is set to 2, a channel wil run with 2 concurrent threads sending (or receiving msgs). The purpose of this is that if a thread is waiting for a confirm to arrive from the partner, the other thread can continue to send msgs to the other thread at the partner.
The parameter is mentioned only in the UNIX System Admin manual; it is not supported on z/OS.

Thank you. This is a parameter we can specify on the Queue Manager properties on Windows 2k as well. I just wanted to make sure about Z/OS.
