Whene running the fmcautil from a client machine to connect to the Workflow Server I get the following error:

fmc@wt00005:/usr/lpp/fmc/lib #> fmcautil -uADMIN -ppassword -f
exec(): 0509-036 Cannot load program fmcautil because of the following errors:
0509-022 Cannot load module /usr/lpp/fmc/lib/libfmcjdint.a(share.o).
0509-150 Dependent module libfmccfmlc.a(share.o) could not be loaded.
0509-022 Cannot load module libfmccfmlc.a(share.o).
0509-026 System error: A file or directory in the path name does not exist.
0509-022 Cannot load module fmcautil.
0509-150 Dependent module /usr/lpp/fmc/lib/libfmcjdint.a(share.o) could not be loaded.
0509-022 Cannot load module .

I check so see if the file libfmcjdint.a (which it complains about) wath is there and it is. What could be the problem?

fmczchk will tell you what version you are using

if you don't know what configurations you have defined try using fmczutil to display the existing configurations.

You can then use fmczutil to set a default configuration, or you can run fmczchk with the -y option and specify the configuration id of the configuration you wish to check

Another way of checking workflow version (and service pack level) is to use lslpp command on AIX (based on the above post I am assuming your OS is AIX).

Issue
Code:
lslpp -L | grep -i fmc

fmczchk might tell the level of workflow, but it is hard to tell what service pack level you are running under.

Venny, unless there is a difference between os's, or I am missing your point I dont understand.

If I do
Code:
fmczchk -d

I get the following result when I run on Windows:

FMC34154I: WebSphere MQ Workflow Version 3.4.0.6 is installed.

Does lslpp give considerably more information?

I always did what you said and never looked at the output that thoroughly. I used to look at the first line which said
Quote:
FMC34010I: Configuration checker version 3.3.2.112 started.

Now based on your message code FMC34154I I saw the output and it displays
Quote:
FMC34154I: MQSeries Workflow Version 3.3.2.5 is installed.

So fmczchk -d will tell both the version and fixpack level.

Well it depends on what you are looking for. I guess the above command will tell us in a simple way what a workflow admin needs.
But lslpp will be more versbose, telling us what all workflow components are installed etc.

You are logged in as fmc. You should be root to create a configuration.
