Hi,
I am currently facing some problems in getting the WBI JDBC Adapter to work with WMQI 2.1. First of all, my adapter doesn't start. Not much information I could find out from the log file itself. I had enabled the AgentTraceLevel property to the value (Maximum trace). When I tried passing the parameters to the start_JDBC batch file like connector name, server name and the config file, somehow it doesn't recognize the server name (broker name) if it has an underscore character (say for e.g., WMQI_BROKER), it threw an error "Input file is too long...". When I changed the server name to just WMQI (this broker name doesn't exist) it didn't give any error. After a while the connector got shutdown and nothing I could find in the log file too. This is the only message the connector while starting dumped into the log file. In the connector configurator, I had enabled polling but failed to give the archive table name and event table name. I was expecting the connector to throw an error but to my dismay I found nothing in the log file.
[Version:4.1.1.0][TZ:Asia/Calcutta]
[Time: 2005/01/05 18:08:40.015] [System: ConnectorAgent] [SS: JDBCConnector] [Thread: main (#5813833)] [Type: Info] [MsgID: 17000] [Mesg: Initialization started. Name: JDBCConnector. ConfigFileName: C:\JDBCConnector.cfg. Implementation DLL/Class Name: com.crossworlds.connectors.JDBC.JDBCConnectorAgent.class.]
I invoke the connector by running the following command:
start_JDBC.bat JDBC WMQI -cC:\JDBCConnector.cfg
Could anyone throw some light on this?

Hi,
there are to differrent output files, log and trace.
Please take a look at the trace file.
To the Server/Broker Name, its not relevant at all for MQSI
So far i know you only need it for ICS.
Greetings

Hi,
I am getting a different error now.
"The input line is too long. The syntax of the command is incorrect". I guess it is writing so much in the command window. I heard that under Windows 2000, the command line is limited to 2046 characters. Its trying to display more than 2046 characters. How to overcome this? Any help?

Hi,
i once run in a problem like this when the length of my WICS / WBIA Framework installation path was to long ,
like c:\program files\Web.... .
This path is used several times within the classpath.
You may try to uninstall WICS / WBIA and install it new using a shorter path.
Greetings

Hi,
Got it working. Like what you said, I had a folder by name F:\Softwares\WebSphereAdapters which I had to change it to F:\Softwares\WBIA by unistalling and installing again. Thanks for the tip.
