AMQXSSVN.EXE Shared memory servers is installed with MQSeries
server and also with the Client (I have found this module on my MQSeries Client 5.3 under ..\WebSphere MQ\bin\. Windows 2000 install).
As the name of this program seams to point to a "server" function, I wonder why is this also part of the client installation.

Read up on the manual. I seem to remember(memory is getting faulty) that it might also be involved in CCSID conversions....
So Yes I would expect you to need it on a client....
