Hi ,
I have a flow like this.An MQ input node and three compute nodes. At each stage of the flow ,I write some details to the table in DB2.At some point of time if I have an error in thge flow,I need to roll back all the transactions in the tables. Is this possible.
please help.
Thanks in advance. _________________ SYstems Engineer ,

I am not sure about earlier versions, this is very much possible in
WBIMB 5.
You have to configure your broker queue manager and DB2 to participate in a globally coordinated transaction. This means that you have to change the XA Resource Manager settings in your queue manager and set the property "Coordinated Transaction" in your .bar file. Then restart your config manager, broker, queue manager, DB2 services and then it should work. |

Are you using MQSI 2.1 or WBIMB 5? |

Please post WMQI related questions into WMQI forum.
To answer your question, yes it is possible to coordinate messaging activities and DB activities with-in a message flow by using 2-phase commit.
