Hi,
What should be the AIX version for CSD08. Can it be installed on AIX4.3 or AIX needs to be upgraded to 5.3 before applying CSD08.
Thanks

Without having examined the Readme file for WMQ5.3.0.8 I assume that all the Service Packs are backward compatible unless otherwise noted. _________________ Yes, I am an agent of Satan but my duties are largely ceremonial. |

Raj,
WMQ v5.3 (CSD07) works fine on AIX v4.3 (ML10) for us. Only for WMQ an AIX upgrade is unnecessary.

As part of overall system upgrade they are upgrading AIX to 5.3. Just during that down time we want CSD08 applied.
Only question is will CSD08 create any problems?? |

If you are worried whether the CSD will pose a problem, you may want to stay with an older CSD release, say CSD07. But ultimately, you need to apply the latest CSD.
If there is any bugs found on your system, and you are on older CSD release, fixes would usually be made on latest CSD. So you are advised to get to the latest CSD, as soon as possible.
