Hi,
I had installed WBIBM and its prerequisite softwares. I could connect to the Broker domain from Toolkit when I log in with one domain user id.
But could not connect to broker domain using other domain user id.
The fact is that, everything else works fine even with the second user id, i.e., I can start MQ, ConfigMgr and broker services. I can also connect to WBRK_QM using java client.
But when it comes to connecting broker domain from Toolkit, it shows error:
Quote: |
BPIP0915E : Toolkit is unable to communicate with ConfigMgr
Could not connect to MQ Queue Manager 'WBRK_QM' (reason code=2063) |
I have also gone through the event log, which says:
Quote: |
Access was denied when attempting to retrieve group membership information for user 'puranikv@emea'.
WebSphere MQ, running with the authority of user 'musr_mqadmin@md0114', was unable to retrieve group membership information for the specified user.
Ensure Active Directory access permissions allow user 'musr_mqadmin@md0114' to read group memberships for user 'puranikv@emea'. To retrieve group membership information for a domain user, MQ must run with the authority of a domain user. |
What is the problem? Is it an OS level problem or MQ Level problem?
I am on WMQ5.3+CSD8 WBIMB5.0+CSD04 on Win2K Professional _________________ Vivek

This error message actually pretty clearly states the problem.
The configuration manager is attempting to authorize the user that is running the Toolkit, but the service user does not have the right permissions.
It's a security problem. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
