Hi all,
I'm new of the forum so I hope to find out some Helps here.
A customer of mine deleted a Queue Manager 5.2 on an AIX 5.x platform
to resize the logging system, once rebuild the Queue Manager He did from
the other side of the channels the reset channel command.
On 26 RCVR channels 23 started without trouble 3 didn't.
Before someone ask me:
the stop of the deleted queue manager was done in that way:
1) all the channels were stopped from the SENDER side of the channel
2) the inetd.conf row containing amqcrsta was then removed
3) it was done the refresh -s inetd
4) the trigger monitor was stopped
5) all the transmission queues on both sides were empty before stopping
the relativ channels
6) the Queue manager was deleted and recreated with the different
logging file dimendion
After the trouble I tried to resolve the channels deleting on both sides
the message on the SYSTEM.CHANNEL.SYNCQ and I've verified that
there is only one record for side.
Stopped the Queue Manager on the receiving side tried to delete the
CHANNEL DEFINITION but no way to do it.
Anyone of You knows where MQ saves the in-doubt flag for channels?
After I detete the record in the SYSTEM.CHANNEL.SYNCQ if I use the
"dis chs(xxx) all saved" command the Queue Manager still say me
that the channel is in-doubt just after the restart of the queue manager
and also before I restart the Queue Manager.
I've examined the structure of the messages on the SYSTEM.CHANNEL.SYNCQ on different level (2.1 and 5.2) it's very
different I suppose it's because of CLUSTER introduction and so on.
You can issue an MQSC command to resolve the in-doubt status of the channel, and choose either to force everything to commit or force it to rollback. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general.
