I am trying to use a sybase database table as the source of a mapping.
Within the Mapping node I chose to Add RDB Table Mapping Input and then select the option to Import and Add Table Schemas.
I then successfully connect to the database server and database, but none of the existing tables for that database appear on the popup window that is supposed to allow me to select the tables that I am interested in.
What am I missing???
As an alternative, Online help suggests that the DBA could export the schema files for me, but I don't know what to do with them! Do I need to manually build the xmi files from the schema and then import them into the toolkit? If so, what are the formats of the connection, database, table and schema files? Are there any samples of these available?
Thanks! |

Could the id you're using to connect, not have the necessary rights (beyond connect)? We've been able to successfully import database schemas from Oracle. |

Thanks for the tip explored it but that doesn't seem to be the problem:(
The source user id has the required authority to access the DB2 catalogs... |

DBAs still have an open ticket on this one. There seem to be issues with the stored procedures used by DB2. The ODBC connection to the mainframe is fine when issued from the DB2 config assistant. Unfortunately if you try to connect from the DB2 control center, errors are thrown on the mainframe side. Similar thing happens when the WBIMB tries to connect to do his schema imports... |
