Has anyone successfully installed message broker v5 on Windows 2003 server?

The install opens an error dialog at the beginning that says that Windows XP is not supported, when I try to launch the install itself, the installer crashes.

Is there a work-around to get the base product installed?

Hi your version of Windows 2003 Server is either supported or it's not.

Check the product's supported platforms.

If it is supported then you need to contact IBM because you must have hit a bug.
If it isn't then you should think twice about running on this O/S level as you will have a problem getting service if it goes wrong.

Last I knew, there were only certain pieces of broker that were officially supported on 2003 Server. The Toolkit was *not*.

Try running the installer in a different compatability mode.

We just did a POC for Windows 2003 server (32-bit) with WBIMB 5.0 and we did not have any problems. There were some warning messages displayed, but the installation was successful. I don't remember the exact message, but I will try to check with the person who did the installation.

I've just completed a successfull install of WBIMB V5 w/CSD03 on Windows 2003 servers. I installed the Broker component only and did not encounter any concerns or issues.

The problem was the media. re-downloaded the media, and the install was successful. FP4 and the broker checked out OK.
