I created a second configuration FMC1, FMCGRP1, FMCSYS1 and new Runtime database. During the creation, I did not select a new Runtime Client and Buildtime client. Can't I use same Runtime client that exist for FMC,FMCGRP,FMCSYS?

one more question is How do you just add a new system?

I appreciate all your time and help.

Thanks

To add a new system you have to do following

1) Add a new configuration with groupname same as earlier primary system.
2) for runtime database select existing database.
3) Create QManager as secondary qmanager in the cluster.
4) all the other parameters like clusterName remains same as primary system.

I think you can.
Add the connect names FMC1, FMCGRP1, FMCSYS1 and the QMGR name of the new group and use the standard runtime client and specify the group and system.

Vennela,

I have already added connect name (FMC1.FMCGRP1.FMCSYS1,FMCQM1) during configuration. I verified it again and it looked fine. Verified in windows registry too. I brought up the run time client and specified system as FMCSYS1 and group as FMCGRP1. I am getting a error "FMC_API_ERROR_PROFILE: profile data for executionService not found. Do you know why am getting this?

Amit,

just some clarifications .. So when you bring up the config. utility, just select Server and do not select any other like clients etc. and on the next screen select existing Runtime database and on Queue manager screen, select new queue manager right..?

So additional system have just a new queue manager.. and it just creates one additiobal execution server right?

We can also add execution server without adding a system --is this correct?

From this I can see the only advantage of adding a new system is to just get one more additional queue manager.. is this correct?

I was talking about adding new system to the existing configuration (same runtime database).

I am not sure. It might not work. But you can try this.

You have two groups now right?
Say the config IDs for each of the groups is FMC and FMC1.
Where did you add the connect names? to FMC or FMC1
You should add it for FMC.

I added second config. connect name to first config. Now I am able to access this second config from RT client. The only problem is it is too slow. It takes a while to login. Do you know why? Thanks a lot.
