I´m having a few problems with creating a CLUSTER on MSCS.
I have 4 queue managers in a MS Cluster(CL 1), one of them is a repository.(M1 and M2)
another MS cluster with one queue manager(repository)(CL 2) and two more machines with two queue managers.
CL 2, M1 and M2 are able to connect normally to CL 1 QM with repository, but the other 3 queue managers in CL 1 are not able to do it, the cluster channels get on retry as soon as they are started. But, for problems on network environment, i cannot point the QM to CL 2. Does anyone can help me? _________________ Maximiliano R. A. Santos

I am not able to understand the setup.
Can you please explain the setup more clearly like how many microsoft clusters, how many MQ clusters, how did you setup the MQ clusters etc.
I tried reading it a couple of times but couldn't really understand it.
Also what are the errors you are getting in the MQ error logs for the channel retrying status? |

Did you define the clusters using the GUI or using commands ?
If you don't define it in the right order it can cause you trouble....
This is because WMQ sometimes will automaticly define missing objects, and they might not be the ones that you like....
Define the clusters exactly as described in the WebSphere MQ Cluster book.

I´ll explain it better:
I got:
- 1 MS Cluter With 4 Queue Managers (CL 11(Cluster Repository),
CL 12, CL 13 and CL 14);
- 2 Queue Managers on diferent machines(M 1, M 2) 1
- 1 MS Cluster with 1 Queue Manager(CL 2)(Cluster Repository).
The Queue managers on CL 2, M 1 and M 2 are able to connect to CL 11, but on CL 12, CL 13 and CL 14 the CLUSSDR channels get in retrying state as soon as i start the channels.
I defined these QM with gui tools, then I exported them with saveqmgr, and then put in the correct machines(I changed the hostnames).
Do you guys believe if I re-define CL 11, I´ll get something new? _________________ Maximiliano R. A. Santos

I solved that problem I was having with the cluster by deleting each file in the scratch directory(%CHLBACTCH!<number>) that was written in the QM log files _________________ Maximiliano R. A. Santos
