Hi,
Need to keep my virgin build to CD05 only. Downloaded, uncompressed, and untar'd the MQ_U487899.tar file.
Builds a ./mqm tree.
However, I go to pkgadd -d ./ and it can't find the package.
I am in as root.
Am I missing something obvious? The base MQ installed fine (pkginfo -l mqm)
# pkginfo -l mqm
PKGINST: mqm
NAME: WebSphere MQ for Sun Solaris
CATEGORY: application
ARCH: sparc
VERSION: 5.3.0.2
VENDOR: IBM
PSTAMP: p000-L021028_ga3 (packaged: January 31, 2003 - 07:59:22 PM)
INSTDATE: Nov 30 2004 16:27
VSTOCK: 5724-B41
STATUS: completely installed
FILES: 2660 installed pathnames
115 directories
211 executables
53 setuid/setgid executables
158544 blocks used (approx)
Help!
Thanks

Hi,
Try these commands:
Code: |
# cd ../csd5
# /opt/mqm/bin/amqiclen -x
# pkgadd -d mqm-U487899.img |
Good luck Stefan |

Hi,
Thanks sjensen, I think it's a bit more fundamental, the untar of MQ_U487899.tar doesn't seem to build an image file.....just a tree.... should it?
According to the readme, I should be doing a
pkgadd -d mqm-U487899.img but its not there......
(Not a Unix SA)
I don't have problems with CD07 .......unfortunanetly I have to stay at CD05 level
Any ideas?
Thanks

Hi,
Is there no
file? If not I suspect your tar file is incorrect.
Cheers

Correct. yes, I think there's something going on with the tar file.
So now when I go to the IBM website to hunt for CD05, for Solaris, to pull it down again, I end up getting pointed to the MACY support pack area! (the solaris Client stuff)
Any other links anywhere I can pull a new CD05 image from ?
Thanks for your help,
Steve |
