Will MQSI (on AIX) keep running if cfg mgr is down? |

If we have message flows deployed from our CM 2000 box to our MQSI 2.1 on AIX, will the flows (or anything else MQSI) continue to run ok if the CM hardware is down?

Yes. You can test this by stopping the CM and QM on the CM box. The CM is only used to manage the configuration, not to run the deployed configuration. |

Yes, it will. I believe the ideal solution is to put your broker DB on a UDB on that same box, or some other reliable AIX box in your AIX Unix network. I believe IBM does recommend that the broker DB be local to the broker on that box. This would also help isolate the broker to DB connection from network issues. MQ by itself does a pretty good job of handling flaky networks. Don't leave all your databases in the Config Mgr box or you expose yourself to NT/Win 2K reliability woes we have all see in the past. |

If you're using NEON, make sure your NEON database is local to the broker as well. |
