All,
I'm new to AIX mqs.ini, but is it possible to change the LogFilesPages size in the mqs.ini
The only thing the book mentions is that he logging type can *not* be changed. Being a z/OS & Windows mq guy, I knew that the type couldn't be changed, but I don't think the size can be either.
Any hlep would be appreciated.

Previously, I have changed the following successfully
LogPrimaryFiles=3 to
LogPrimaryFiles=16
LogSecondaryFiles=2 to
LogSecondaryFiles=4
LogBufferPages=17 to
LogBufferPages=512 |

You're correct, the number of 4K pages specified by the LogFileSize (-lf) parameter during queue manager creation, cannot be changed by modifying the LogFilePages entry in the mqs.ini or qm.ini files. |

I thought the 2 things that couldn't be changed where size & type, but when I didn't explicitly see size I was unsure.
I guess if there was a problem at least you could add additional files to compensate?? |

| I suppose you could plan your installation so that the qmgr would have enough log space for the mgs to be passed through it. I suggest you do this before creating the qmgr, not after. |
