I have migrate Flows from WMQI 2.1 to WBIMB 5.0 CSD04 . With one Flow I have an error when I try to deploy it:

BIP2493E: Illegal type for parameter '1' of the function 'CARDINALITY'. A list field reference is required.

The expression supplying the parameter must evalaute to a value of a suitable type. The given expression cannot possibly do so.

Correct the logic of the ESQL program and re-deploy the message flow.
The ESQL how produce this error is :

DECLARE refKurse REFERENCE TO InputRoot.XML.(XML.Element)ITIP_MESSAGE.ITIP_DATA.DevisenKurse[1];
SET i = cardinality(refKurse);

how can I correct this ESQL without change the ESQL logic ?

Try CASTing refKurse to an INT? As this is a reference to an XML parser created element, its datatype will be CHARACTER.
