Hi,

Looking through the logs in the cluster I keep seeing the following messages appear efvery hour or so.

11/09/04 16:33:38
AMQ9213: A communications error for TCP/IP occurred.

EXPLANATION:
An unexpected error occurred in communications.
ACTION:
The return code from the TCP/IP(select) [TIMEOUT] 20 seconds call was 11
(X'B'). Record these values and tell the systems administrator.

AMQ9999: Channel program ended abnormally.

EXPLANATION:
Channel program 'TO.SP.AR3' ended abnormally.
ACTION:
Look at previous error messages for channel program 'TO.SP.AR3' in the error
files to determine the cause of the failure.

EXPLANATION:
Channel program 'TO.SP.AR3' started.
ACTION:
None.


Would this be due to HBINTs etc.

Any Ideas.

Well if you are running on AIX the TCP/IP code 11 means "Resource temporarily unavailable.

Running Solaris although I expect its the same.

Just found out that there is some sort of network timeout thing every hour or so so problem solved.

It doesnt half make a mess of my error logs though.
