Hi All,

I am very new to Hp-UX environment. I need to upgrade mq 5.2 to 5.3. I have read quick beginning for HP book, But not sure how to do the follow steps:

1. Uninstall MA88. what command line to check whether MA88 is installed or not? what command to uninstall MA88, if installed?
2. How do saveqmgr in HP before reinstall mq?

Thanks in advance

To get the saveqmgr script, download Support Pack MS03. It's a good idea to backup your objects but when you upgrade if you don't delete your MQManager the 5.3 install should upgrade your MQManager automatically.

As far as the HP/UX command, I have no idea.

For platforms other than Windows, AIX, iSeries, Solaris and Linux, a compiler will be required to create an executable.

The product name for the MA88 support pack on HP-UX is MQJAVA so to check whether it is installed use 'swlist MQJAVA' and to uninstall it use 'swremove MQJAVA'
