Hi,

I have a MQ 5.3 installation on UNIX..When i say

crtmqm
Error: AMQ7153: A license could not be installed for this copy of WebSphere MQ.

if i try to do

setmqcap 4
Error:"Websphere MQ error (0) has occured"

dspmqcap
Error:Purchased processor allowance not set .(use setmqcap).The no. of license units is sufficient for all future possible upgrades to this machine. The number of processors in this machine is 2.

Please Help...thanks

How many processors do you have on the box? What happens if you use command setmqcap 2?

Possibly this is the problem:

Explanation:
A Production or Trial Period license could not be installed for this copy of MQSeries. This is because the 'nodelock' file in the 'qmgrs/@SYSTEM' directory could not be created or updated.

User response:
Check the ownership and permissions of the 'qmgrs/@SYSTEM' directory.

Solution
Delete the nodelock file from the directory in question.
