Looks like this particular problem was corrected in v5.1 CSD09:

http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1IY21665

Needless to say, you should upgrade to the latest software version/CSD available.

Looks like someone else had the same problem on MQ5.2.0.6 and fixed it by applying a service pack. The link doesn't say which Service Pack.:

http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=0&q1=AMQ6118&q2=XY167002&uid=swg21029156&loc=en_US&cs=utf-8&cc=us&lang=en

All things considered, I would suggest you upgrade to a supported version of MQSeries.

5.2 is no longer supported and 5.3 is at Service Lvl 8 now. 5.1 hasn't been supported for years.

If you are dead set on staying at version 5.1 then you may have to determine what if any changes have been made recently that would cause a conflict with your Shared Memory Resources and consider backing them out.
