Hi,
We a trying to use MQ to build our enterprise application, and firstly have
problems.
System - MQ v. 5.3, and just Pub/Sub Broker on Win2000.
I am have question about Topic publish/subscribe using AMI API.
I am modifying MQ C++ sample Publisher.cpp and Subscriber.cpp.
Publisher.cpp published messages on topic "Tennis".
Subscriber.cpp subscribes on topic "Football", but it get every message that published by Publisher.cpp even all are not the Topic that my program subscribed. Is it normal on MQ Pub/Sub Broker?
Can we use other broker to avoid the problem?
Thank a lot,
den |

This is a problem with your subscription, not your broker. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I'd suggest that you avoid using the AMI. At the last few conferences, IBM has made it clear that they don't plan to further enhance it.
From the SupportPac page:
Code: |
IMPORTANT NOTE
After June 2003, IBM has no plans to enhance the AMI with any new functions or platforms. IBM will however continue to support the AMI as described in the Technical Support sectioin below.
We would recommend that customers do not use the AMI for any new projects and do not extend usage in existing projects. This recommendation does not apply to functions shipped by other IBM products, such as DB2, that have made use of the AMI. IBM is working to ensure that these products are able to provide the same functionality as today without the AMI. |
