Has anybody installed CSD4 on top of CSD3? How is it working? Are there any major issues to consider before or after installing CSD4?
I have config-mgr, broker and Toolkit installed on the same machine (development environment..) with CSD3 and wanna go to CSD4.
How can I do it? _________________ Vivek

I have installed CSD4 on top of CSD3 on a test machine and it's working fine. You can download the installable EXE from CSD link. (Please refer to top of this page for the CSD link) _________________ Kiran

Its also recommendable to update the toolkit via the update manager once in a while.
I had to do this for CSD 3 to fix some issues.
If you do not want to give your toolkit direct access to the internet,
you can also download the update files via ftp and perform the update offline.

Thanks to both of you.
I am on Win2k Professiosnal as Development Machine
My major concern is, that I have 5-6 message flows running on the broker. These flows were developed with CSD3. And now if I install CSD4, then will there be any problem?
Kiran - You said that you have installed CSD4 on top of CSD3, but have you installed it when you already have created a broker and have message flows deployed on that broker?
Of course, I know that, to install CSD4, I need to stop my broker, config-mgr and close the Toolkit. _________________ Vivek

I don't think so.

Yes. Make sure you stop all WBIMB services before installing the CSD. _________________ Kiran

Hi,
if you try to start the update via the update manager you can see the following url:
ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/software/mqseries/fixes/wbimb50
I simply downloaded the full directory of about 500 MB.
After the download you have to define your directory
as a new update site in the update manager.
Greetings
